Supergiant," Shrimp-Like Beasts

Can't believe my own eyes upon seeing photos of the newly found species of amphipods from one of the world's deepest trenches in the world. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the northern coast of New Zealand!

Seven pinkish creatures that resemble shrimps (though bigger) crawled into a trap in the Kermadec Trench that sinks down 10 kilometers. The largest caught measured in at 11 inches long, almost three times larger than the previous record holder which was captured at a depth of about 7 kilometers. Scientists aren't clear yet whether these creatures are new species or they just simply gigantic amphipods.
I wonder how they taste and if they can really be tasted. They look scary to me.
