Man lost a leg after a tiger mauling

A 25-year-old man was mauled by a tiger at Bronx Zoo in New York at around 3 p.m Friday when he leaped from an elevated monorail train and plunged over a fence. The man lost a leg on the mauling, report said.

“If not for the quick response by our staff and their ability to perform well in emergency situations, the outcome would have been very different, zoo director Jim Breheny said.

The man was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Tigers attack almost anything including humans especially when they're hungry and provoked. Those who were bred in captivity or those who were captured in the wild are no different at all because tigers by nature are wild animals. I wonder why the man did that. Do you?
