Dolphin aboard a flight to Singapore dies

I was saddened by the news article I read about a dolphin who died aboard a plane from the Philippines to Singapore. The dolphin named Wen Wen, despite declared fine when it was medically examined, died less than an hour before the flight departed.

Wen Wen was acquired in the Solomon Islands by the Resorts World Sentosa, and was the third dolphin who died between 2008 and 2009.

Therefore, it wasn't a surprise to me when animal activists in the Philippines filed a lawsuit against the people who kept and trained the mammals before they flew them out to Singapore. They are merely protecting all the animals including the dolphins, one of the most highly intelligent animals the world has ever known.

The transferring of dolphin was temporarily banned. However, another court overturned it.
