Discovered whale thought to be extinct

There were several discoveries over the last few years of animals scientists never thought existed. They were strange animals like snake, frog, and a mammal like the bat which sings like a bird found in the Greater Mekong area. These discoveries are clear manifestation that there are animals unknown to man that walk the earth.

And to make you more engrossed with your reading, there was a recent discovery of a mysterious and elusive creature that rarely comes to shore. They call it a "pygmy right whale" which study suggests as the last living relative of an ancient group of whales long believed to be extinct.

This mammal look so much different from the whales we see today. Here's Felix Marx take, a paleontologist at the University of Otago in New Zealand.

"The living pygmy right whale is, if you like, a remnant, almost like a living fossil. It's the last survivor of quite an ancient lineage that until now no one thought was around."

Amazing isn't it? The discovery was published on December 18th. And to get to know more about this new discovered whale with all its physical characteristics and what not, continue reading HERE.
